The A&D Dynamic Contact Force Rig





The A&D Dynamic Contact Force Rig (DCFR) is a new testing technology that combines a fully dynamic tire test rig with tire patch measurement sensors. This new technology provides a unique opportunity to the customer by measuring the dynamic tire patch shape with a 6-component force transducer embedded into a 3.2 m diameter drum machine. The 6 force components include three force measurements in the X, Y and Z direction along with measuring the Moments of the X, Y and Z axis. The measurements can be recorded while adjusting the road force, camber angle, slip angle, tire speed and tire pressure. The adjustability of the tire machine and the performance of the sensor allow the capture of the true tire patch.
